Coronavirus. Measures for the contrast and containment
of the spread of the covid-19 virus in the workplace

26 March 2020

Staff, doctors, the public, and all those who access the facility are advised to comply with the provisions of the shared protocol for regulation measures to combat and contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the workplace.

The Protocol was signed on Saturday, 14 March, 2020 at the invitation of the President of the Council of Ministers, the Minister of the Economy, the Minister of Labor and Social Policies, the Minister of Economic Development and the Minister of Health, who held the meeting with several social partners.

The regulation measures – contained in article 1, first paragraph, number 9 of the 11 March 2020 decree of the President of the Council of Ministers (in relation to professional and production activities) – have been agreed to by employers’ and trade union organizations, in particular:

  • Obligation of workers to stay home in the presence of a fever (over 37.5 °) or other flu-like symptoms and to call your general practitioner and the health authority.
  • Employers should inform their workers that they may not enter the workplace if, during the last 14 days, they have had contact with individuals who are infected by the virus. The Provision requires that the employee remain at home and a general practitioner and Health Authority to be informed.
  • Respecting all the provisions of the Authorities and the employer in accessing the company (in particular, maintaining the safety distance, observing the rules of hand hygiene, and maintaining correct hygiene behaviors).
  • Obligation of workers to promptly inform the employer of the presence of any flu-like symptoms during work hours, taking care to remain at an adequate distance from the people present.
